December 19th, 2016 We’ve been working with mom all day, but she’s still not quite ready to have the ventilator removed. However. And this is really exciting folks… She is using her arms to motion for things!!! She was making movements like she wanted to write so we got her pen + paper and after a little bit of work… She successfully called me a smartass!!!!! Hells yeah!!! It all started with a phone call at ~8:00 am December 16, 2016. Mom was sick, she had collapsed and was being taken to the hospital, but her friend was sure it was just exhaustion or anxiety or panic. Nothing serious. She was fine last night, after all. I agreed.
