Good morning wild birds! I want to take a minute to express how awesome you guys are. TK and I are feeling almost overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support!

Mom made it through the night! She’s wiggling her toes! She’s comfortably settled in the ICU and we’re likely to be here for a while. At this time the nurses have asked us to keep things quiet between her hourly tests so that she can get some rest. They’ve asked us to keep her exposure to germs to an absolute minimum because the last thing we need at this time is to be fighting off even a basic cold. We are getting everyone’s messages and we do know how much you all love us and her and we will take you up on your offer for help, believe me, we will need them in a couple of weeks on the road to recovery. I will try to make updates here as I can. In the meantime, I will be keeping Stessy in the loop.

Just in case I forgot to say it earlier, you guys are so amazing. It’s very easy to stay calm knowing this huge group of people is just a few buttons away when we need you.

P.S. You guys should all be pleased to know that the nurses are calling her a TOUGH ‘OL BIRD!! So there you have it!! Your prayers are working, keep sending love this crazy ‘ol birds way!

We’re going to need some cool hats for her… 🙂

Life's too short for decaf coffee or annoying emails.

What I can't promise is regular, weekly emails. What I can promise is sporadic, humorous updates with a serious amount of gorgeous glassy adventures inside. Occasionally, there might even be a chance to join me for a cup o' coffee. (The really caffeinated kind!)
